Today was our last day at the village. We had a big breakfast all together at the boys house of fry jacks (fried dough), bananas, papaya, and eggs. After breakfast we finished up packing and said our goodbyes 🙁 It was an hour and a half drive to the northern part of the island where we are staying for the next two days. Upon arriving at Maravu (our lodge) everyone was so happy to be able to shower and have a cold glass of water. After lunch we drove an hour out to Lavena waterfalls. We took a small boat to see the actual falls and everything was so beautiful. The swimming hole was surrounded by rock and vines, like a scene out of a movie (in fact, Return to the Blue Lagoon was filmed there!). Our guide pointed out different animals along the trip, like the orange dove and exotic caterpillars. We took a boat ride back to our van and drove back to Maravu where we had dinner and fell asleep quickly afterwards.
