Today our group traveled to a neighboring village to see a magnificent waterfall and swim around. Everyone jumped into the water, and Max even did a backflip. After a pep talk to myself, I did a front flip! After the waterfall, we visited the first sugar farm in all of Fiji and briefly learned the history behind it. Additionally, later in the day, a member of the community back in Navakawau caught a five-foot shark and brought it back to the village. All the children and our group crowded around the magnificent sight! It was only the second shark caught in the past 15 years, so our group certainly feels lucky to have been there to experience it. It was quite a marvelous day filled with laughs and happiness, and we are so excited for the days to come.
